So the players who are allowed to have agents in college (who negotiate their salary and do all the agent things) are breaking the rule when they hire agents (usually the same agent they already had) to prep for the draft. Yep. Clear as mud.

Pete Nakos@PeteNakosNCAA statement to @On3 on Tennessee LB Arion Carter suspension: "NCAA rules are clear: student-athletes may not sign with agents to pursue NFL Draft opportunities, and this student-athlete knowingly violated those longstanding rules. When student-athletes violate NCAA rules, the school declares them ineligible and works with the national office to determine requirements for reinstatement, which can include repayment and/or withholding from competition."
