Notre Dame and UConn could join a Power Four conference immediately because they are already independent, sources said.

NEWS: Decision-makers and lawmakers are discussing edits to the Protect College Sports Act that would cap conferences at 19 teams. A4 programs that want to join a different A4 conference would have to go independent for at least 5 years before doing so, sources tell @CBSSports.
